American-Korean fusion: Mac볶이

One of my favorite Korean dishes is 떡볶이.  I can’t help but love the sweet and spicy flavoring along with the absolutely chewable rice cakes.  Anyways, since I have never been to Korea and I live in America it’s sort of hard to come by rice cakes (well, there is a Korean store in town, but it’s SO expensive).  So I have to find my own way to make Korean food when I’m not with my Korean friends.  It has actually become my favorite food to eat: Mac볶이.

It’s pretty easy, just make macaroni and cheese just like the box says, add a spoon of 고추짱 and a little less than a spoon of honey, mix, add either 고추짱 or honey depending on what kind of taste you want.  If you’re feeling adventurous you can even add in a can of Tuna or some other meat for a more hearty meal.  It’s not the healthiest thing and may not look it, but it’s dang good.
