I absolutely love taking pictures so I joined the EOS-400D 450D 500D Club on Cyworld and learned some photography terms. I’ve added them to the Korean Wiki Project, here’s a small exert from the photography vocabulary page of the different types of pictures you can take:
- 자유사진 – Free
- 자연사진 – Natural
- 인물사진 – People
- 풍경사진 – Landscape
- 야경사진 – Night view
- 감성사진 – Emotional
- 접사사진 – Macro
- 무보정사진 – (보정 means ‘Editing a picture brightly or vividly or something’,and 무보정 means ‘Did not 보정‘)
Another feature of the Korean Wiki Project is that you can click on individual Chinese roots to learn more about them. It’s still a work in progress, but try clicking on some of the characters above (I know that 자, 감, 인, 물, 무, 보, and 경 have entries).

자유 in 자유사진 means “independence” or “freedom,” and it does not mean $0. 자유사진 doesn’t actually make literal sense so I think it’s a pun for the English word free.
