Continuing on the DPRK theme, I ran into another documentary. The Vice guide to North Korea is another great documentary done inside the DPRK. To get into North Korea, they travel up to Shenyang, China after which they are woken up in the morning and told they had to leave right then if they wanted to go to North Korea. Some of the more amusing items they had to acknowledge they didn’t have was a ‘killing device’ or a ‘hand phone’. Thank you Konglish. His first breakfast at his hotel found him in a huge room with just himself and the waitresses. They even put food at the places where no one st, apparently to show they have lots of food and that many people come. Like always, the guides become more and more irritated and started telling them to not film and even took one of their memory cards. I guess that part’s just part of the tour.
