Themepark 1984

Themepark 1984 is described as a mockumentary about North Korea (DPRK) filled with dark humor.  They travel around the country while the commenter notes what’s going on and some of the absolutely ridiculous things he sees.  It covers the Arirang Festival, an atrocity museum, an extremely dilapidated theme park, the DMZ, school, and entertainment among other things.  If you’re interested in seeing another documentary about North Korea, I highly recommend it.  It’s got an irreverent humor that picks and pokes at the hermit kingdom.

Here’s a trailer:

My favorite quote, from inside the “Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum (조국해방전쟁승리기념관)”:

By the time you get into the Fatherland Liberation Museum, you start feeling can they please stop showing this crap.  One by one we tediously go over all the propagandist pictures, weapons and other crap that you could not care less about.
