Have you seen those mysterious covered boxes for the past (at least) two months? They said they would debut in February and they finally have. The “Digital View” terminals are internet phones (free to use) with subway, store and tourist information. I have to say, they’re cool but not what I need/want. Who else would much rather have a wifi system installed? That would reach so many more users, plus there won’t ever be a line (though you would have to fight for bandwidth).
I’d LOVE me some wifi – actually being able to check my e-mail on the iPod Touch without needing to emerge and find a coffeehouse. They’re probably too easily hacked or used for infernal purposes, though…
I haven’t seen one of these live as of this comment (I’ll be looking for it) – since everyone has a cell phone and every subway station has a pay phone, I wonder how many people will be using the internet phone.

I tried using one (not the phone part of it), it was alright. I just looked at what restaurants were in the vicinity.
Do you mean those great big touchscreen terminals?
If so, the best use of them is the Daum maps feature. These simply take the place of the hand-drawn local community maps much of the rest of Asia nails up to tackle its heirarchial address system. Navigating Seoul with just a postal address in hand is downright easy with them!
Yeah, I love that map feature
