Day at Yeouido

I walked around Yeouido for the first time; it was alright but I’ll definitely go back later after the weather becomes much better (although today it was relatively okay).  Here’s a panorama looking at the Han river and the national assembly:

Here’s a monument in front of the assembly building and the building itself below:

I couldn’t get in, apparently you have to have a reservation (doh!).  Oh well, I guess there’s always a next time.

Yes, I’m a sucker for miniatures …

A guide, who’s major is English, helped me through the museum explaining what everything was.  She gave me some interesting facts like how the assembly hall has 24 pillars to symbolize them working 24 hours a day and all 24 weather periods all-year long.  Here’s the guide that took me through the museum:

And here’s me doing some debating …

You can choose from a wide range of backgrounds, have your picture taken, and find it at the official website (viewable by anyone … you can find me there at 다녀간사람들) for free.  Yes, you read that website URL correctly; it does use Hangeul in the URL itself.

After walking for a little bit, I ran into a demo (love the guy who posed for the camera ㅋㅋㅋ much better than the other guy who hid his face):

I also walked through a small park, though I’m sure it’ll be much better when we’re actually into Spring (or at least more into Spring, I don’t know if I would the season Spring quite yet).  A friend greeted me when I first walked into the park luckily enough!  Ain’t this just the cutest rabbit you’ve seen?

  1. Hyeonsoo Kang

    Wow you look awesome.

  2. Awesome pictures! You should visit 여의도 when cherry trees are blooming in April. I believe there is going to be a festival around the assembly building..It’s gonna be a good opportunity to show off your photography skill. Again, nice photos! keep it up!
