Here’s a subway ad which is meant to urge Seoul citizens to be on their best behavior during the G20 Summit located in Seoul.
- If you meet a foreigner, don’t be afraid and say “hello” and smile.
- Listen to music and speak quietly!
- Letting people get off and standing in a line are the basics! Keep order
- Say “I’m sorry” [don't know why this is in Korean whereas Hello was in English...] if you bump into someone
- Throw away trash in the bins! Make clean paths
- Stop the internet bullying! The more it isn’t shown, the more important etiquette is. (anyone got a better translation?)
- Make a wholesome drinking culture and wholesome habits
- Keep order on the roads and be considerate to each other

I got to go down to Daejeon and Gongju for three days and four days thanks to a presentation I got to give at KISTI! Daejeon was pretty cool, there are tons of research facilities and science related things. I got to experience a lot of firsts … seeing dog meat being sold on the street, going to a public spa, eating duck, and various other little things. It was a great trip and I was really glad to hang out with my friends who studied at University of Utah but are back at their home university, Chungnam. Dream Concert crowd yelled ‘Park Jaebum’ non-stop through 2PM

I just remembered this and thought it deserves it’s own post. For those that didn’t go to Dream Concert, the crowed yelled ‘Park Jay-Bum’ the WHOLE time 2PM sang. For those that don’t know who he is, basically he was thrown out of a group after a ‘scandal’ where text was found complaining about Korea (he went to Korea from the US). Take it how you will, but to me it’s pretty offensive to the current group. If they had shouted his name just between songs I could understand that, but why do you have to scream his name the entire freaking time they’re singing? Here’s someone else’s cam:
