Here’s a video I found recently that is yet another interesting example of the propaganda machine of the north.

Did anyone else watch the broadcast of South Korea vs. Uruguay game on DPRK TV?  Seriously, the commentators sounded like they were on horse tranquilizers … Here is the game in its entirety:

Is it just me or does DPRK TV completely change what the guy talks about when he mentions the Cheonan incident? What I’m talking about starts at 2:49. He didn’t talk about struggling for unification … or saying the facts don’t line up with what happened … no mention in the translation about the south soldiers who were killed which he talked about … he didn’t talk about the US navy … or a submarine … or about Russia …

Anyways, watch for yourself …

Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) — A joint friendly meeting of children and women here and foreign children and women took place at the Taesongsan Pleasure Park on Tuesday to mark the 60th International Children’s Day … Korean children presented numbers representing the happy life they are leading while bringing their talents into full bloom under the care of General Secretary Kim Jong Il. Foreign children sang Korean songs well to be acclaimed by audience. The Korean and foreign children had diverse sports and amusement games such as jumping over flower-decorated rope, looking for things and snatching a ball. After the amusement games the participants spent pleasant time, dancing together and using amusement facilities. A friendly gathering was also held in Chongjin, North Hamgyong Province, on the same day.

These videos have some interesting examples that North Korea is truly a military-first (선군) nation and that the propaganda machine is very well positioned to influence everything from birth to death.
