The pitcher on the LG team almost hit two players so the atmosphere got pretty heated at one point (you can see a pic with a couple of players and the ump). I also included the score board at the point we left (since we didn’t feel the need to stay given the score …). After checking naver after I got home, it seems that the final score was 14 (Nexen) to 5 (LG).

Here’s a video I shot today to show you what the clubs in SNU are like. Clubs are a lot more integrated in the school it seems than back in the USA where they usually seem very separated or non existent. I have really enjoyed being a part of the SCSC club (SNU Computer Study Club) and look forward to a great year and good friends ^^ If you go to university here in Korea definitely check out the clubs as they are a much more important part of the social experience here. Plus you get to meet a bunch of great people with similar interests as you! Anyways, here’s the video:

I went out to volunteer again with 새터민들의 쉼터 (online North Korean Refugee community). You can see the previous post and pics here. We went to a church for disabled persons in a city called Hwang-Seong which is just a little south of Ansan. On the way there I saw a lot of 보신탕 (dog soup) places. I was pretty excited to see that since I really want to try some. I don’t see dogs as a whole lot different than pigs or cows, they all look tasty to me. Anyways, I may come back in a week or so to try some with one of the organizers of the volunteer work. After we got there we started moving things around and cleaning the tables. After we finished we headed to the main town (the church was out away from the city) to get some 삼겹살 (Samgyeopsal, the Korean version of bacon). The weather was absolutely awesome, contributing to an all-around great day.
